Activation has two of it's most popular programmes running again this year over the winter months so you have every reason to get out and about during the cooler seasons. Starting in July the ever-popular Lively Places is back with loads of indoor physical activity options including Zumba, Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Line Dancing, Gymsports and Self Defence! The activties are run within local facilities including community halls and libraries and are spread throughout the Upper Hutt area from Timberlea down to Pinehaven and everywhere in between. Plus all classes are FREE! Grab a friend or grab the kids, come along, try one or try them all! There's options for people who are inactive through to those who exercise but want to try something new! Activation also have the Activation Duathlon series back for 2011 with three events during August and September. There are three course options of varying lengths as well as children's courses. Fantastic for beginners through to the elite, the tracks are set through the beautiful Trentham Memorial Park. Both Lively Places and the Duathlons are still subject to funding approval so keep an eye on the Activation website www.activation.org.nz to keep up to date!
