In one hour we will explain Maidstone's philosophies on teaching and learning, discipline and the opportunities we can provide for your child. Information Evening Date: Thursday, 30 June 2011 Time: 7.00 -- 8.00 pm Place: Maidstone School Hall 3810824 MAIDSTONE INTERMEDIATE ENROLMENTS 2012 The Maidstone Board of Trustees invites applications from parents and caregivers who wish to enrol their sons and daughters at Maidstone Intermediate for 2012. Enrolment at Maidstone is governed by an enrolment scheme. "The Maidstone Intermediate Enrolment Scheme Home Zone is that area of Upper Hutt which lies north of Whakatiki Street, Ward Street and Katherine Mans eld Drive and extending to the Rimutakas. The zone includes all addresses in the streets stated above." The 2012 School Prospectus will be available from the school office from 24 June. Copies of the Prospectus will be made available to students at our local contributing schools in week of 20-24 June. There is a Parent Information Meeting on Thursday 30 June. All enrolments close on Wednesday 28 September 2011. Parents of students who live within the home zone should also have their enrolments in by this date to assist with planning. The Board will then determine the number of places likely to be available for out of zone students for next year. The exact number of places will depend on the number of applications received from students within the school's home zone. If the number of out of zone applicants exceeds the number of places available, students will be selected by ballot. If required, this ballot will be held on 3 October. Parents will be informed of the outcome of the ballot within three school days of the ballot being held. Applications for enrolment from out of zone will be processed in the following order of priority set by the Ministry of Education. First Priority will be given to students who have been accepted for enrolment in an approved special programme. This priority is not applicable at Maidstone. Second Priority will be given to applicants who are siblings of current students. Third Priority will be given to applicants who are siblings of former students. Fourth Priority will be given to applicants who are children of former students Fifth Priority will be given to applicants who are children of board employees. Sixth Priority will be given to all other applicants.
