Greater Wellington is holding a public meeting on Saturday 25 June from 9am-11am at the Te Marua Golf Clubrooms, 657 Main Road North (SH2). This meeting will provide the public with an opportunity to find out more about the concept and the findings of the investigations, and to provide feedback to the project team. The Station Crescent project involves installing a new 1 metre diameter stormwater pipe, approximately 130 metres in length, to connect to the stormwater main in Park Street. Capacity Infrastructure Services will be project managing the work on behalf of Upper Hutt City Council. The installation will be along Station Crescent and across the rail corridor to behind the Mitre 10 Mega Store. Trains will not be affected by the work but pedestrians, buses and road traffc can expect slight delays. Some parking in the area will be taken up by the work site. The area will be adequately sign-posted during the project, but Council does ask that pedestrians take extra care when moving near or around the affected area. The work hours will be between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Work may be extended to between 8am and 6pm on Saturdays if required.
