Yep, its the Blues against the Reds ...really it doesnt get any simpler than this. The contest is reading more like something out of Tarantinos Reservoir Dogs or Paul Austers New York Trilogy than a battle between two geographic rugby strongholds ... but there it is, gotta move with the times, yes indeedie, this is no country for old men. Still, you can only wonder what the years ahead might bring with our rugby evolution.... I anticipate the Tangerines versus Lilacs clash of a few years away with what some concern. Anyways I digress.... Last weeks Blues-Waratahs game was predictable but not predictable enough. One business selector, the astute James from Queen Street Auto, was just a single point off ... when a spot- on would have delivered him a 100 point deduction and the lead from the we though entrenched Gavin from Gee & Hickton. So, I guess, it shows its still there to be won and the Party for Six to the world Cups semis and fnals, all food and accommodation paid still remains up for grabs. And in our public pick-the-score we had not one, not two but three entries all a single point awry, all so close to a $1000 steal (but yes, you pedants out rhere, if all three had won it would have been only $333.33 to each .. thank you in advance). So, if seeing the Blues are so predictable; weve gone with them again. Better to win your now $1050 booty at midnight than at 5.30in the morning. More warm and feel good fuzzy that we and here at The Leader, we care. Oh yes we do. Colin Williams For all your HOME LOAN NEEDS!
