Upper Hutt Leader : July 27th 2011
46 UPPER HUTT LEADER, JULY 27, 2011 UPPER HUTT 53 Main St, Upper Hutt Ph 528 4808 Fax 528 1440 www.radiuspharmacy.co.nz Proud sponsor of THE YOUNG ONES HOURS: 8am-8pm Mon-Fri • 9am-6pm Sat/Sun & Public Holidays OPEN EVERYDAY Except Christmas Day & New Years Day The school holidays, what to do? Many holiday programmes fill the bill and this winter break, between terms two and three, sees the Upper Hutt City Football Club organising their own skills based activities. Run by the club's director of coaching Pedro Garcias the four days a week holiday programme was based at Hutt International Boys' School in the first week and at Birchville primary this week. Up to 40 aspiring footballers, ranging age from six to 14 years, were accommodated with extra coaching coming from several premier and under-19 club players. At HIBS, where our photos were taken, the younger of the young ones were inside in the gym, with that outsize soft ball, while the older ones were all action on the school's astro turf.
