Carter The Nicolaitanes, those who lord it over others. Matt. 20:25, 26:- Jesus called them unto him, and said,Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; and whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant. Even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister and to give his life a ransom for many, 1 Tim. 2:6,A ransom for all. Matt. 23:8-10, "Be ye not called Rabbi; for one is your master, even Christ, and call no man your Father upon the earth; for One is your Father which is in heaven. Neither be ye called Masters for One is your Master, even Christ.Any christian organisation that assumes and exercises rulership over a group of Christians in the place, stead of Christ is an Abomination to God, and is deceiving God's people. Tithing. The practice of tithing as done under the old law is not necessary. In 1 Cor. 9:18 Paul says "...when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel". Paul worked with his own hands and said if any wouldn't work they were not to eat.The pool of their possessions of the early church seemed to have faded out as later Paul pleaded for the poor of the brethren, not for the preachers, saying that if the Gentiles were partakers of the Jews spiritual things it was their duty also to minister with them in carnel things, Rom. 15:27. He did accept monetary help at times I believe but not a compulsory tithing. He said "Every man according as he purpose in his heart so let him give not grudgingly or of necessity, for God loveth a cheerful giver, 2 Cor. 9:7. He said of those who helped him, "not because I desire a gift, but I desire fruit that may abound to your account, Phil. 4:17. As we walk in our Christian life we give what we can to the Bible Societies who are sending out the Scriptures and the gospel of Jesus Christ to all the nations as a witness until the end of this age. There are several projects they are involved in such as translating the Scriptures into the heart languages of many people. Also having literacy classes to enable many to learn to read the Scriptures and to write. Another project is in Rwanda where there are 109 groups who gather together to learn to sew so as to provide a living, besides hearing the Scriptures through audio means. 3578591AN Call us toda for a bookin 528 2580 40 Ward Street Upper Hutt (3 minutes walk to Wallaceville Station) Open 8am till late! email: firstname.lastname@example.org 2606836DA Are your BRAKES Shuddering or causing concern?
