Many business and com- munity groups participated in the process. The result was a comprehen- sive report outlining suggested projects for the Upper Hutt. A number of these projects have been identified for inclusion in the Long Term Plan 2012-2022. Before formal consultation on the full LTP next April, the com- munity has a chance to have a further say on this range of poss- ible projects and the level of ratepayer investment you feel should contribute to their achievement. I encourage everyone to have a look at these projects and put in a submission. I think it is important for all of us as rate- payers to have input to the decisions about our city's future and particularly to do so in a participatory manner during the planning process. Submissions close 5pm on October 21. The survey submission form along with information about the projects is available at upperhuttcity.com/ltp2012- 22preconsultation. Alternatively, business people are welcome to contact me at the Chamber on 527 9812 to let me know their opinion so this can be considered as the Chamber puts together its submission.
