This is a good chance to meet Santa , who will be at the railway on 27 November, with his very own vintage diesel railcar. Also two steam locomotives will be in action hauling two wooden passenger carriages, giving familys the chance to step back in time and meet the one and only Santa at this unique attraction in Wellington. The Spectacular begins at 11am with Santa staying on site all day until 4pm. Silver Stream Railway is located in Reynolds Bach Drive just off Eastern Hutt Road, and operates heritage trains every Sunday, with the frst Sunday of the month usually being a Big Steam Sunday, using the railways 1930 built steam locomotive C847, giving visitors the opportunity to see a large steam locomotive close up.
