A new foundation skills pro- gramme developed by GymSports New Zealand, moveMprove, is taking place weekly at Mangaroa School through the teaching hand of the local Rimutaka GymSports club. The course is all about develop- ing skills for the future and not a strict gymnastics programme. It provides children, up to 10 years, with the opportunity to experience and take part in movement that will help in giving them the skills to play all types of sports and rec- reational activities. Designed to educate'' rather than instruct'', the programme has been launched across the country this school term, with four levels of develop- ment, with each made up of eight one-hour sessions.
