Police are seeking information on a male who got onto the bus just after 6.30pm on Christmas Day and demanded the driver take him to Upper Hutt. The male is described as a Maori or Pacific Islander, 169 centimetres (5 foot 7 inches) tall, solid/stocky build, in his early to mid-twenties and unshaven. He was wearing a black hoodie with a full length zip in the front, dark coloured trousers, blue and white sneakers with red laces. The male was last seen running into Merton St at 6.41pm. If you have any information please call Constable Geoff McGhie from the Upper Hutt police on 527 2300 or Crimestoppers on 0800 55 51 11. Cafe Cibo winner Cafe Cibo in Main St was the winner of the Christmas retail windows competition organised by the Upper Hutt Leader and Experience Upper Hutt. Its sparkling night lights created a stunning effect. Second was Vogue and third the Salvation Army shop. Public voting in the competition raised $68 for the Salvation Army.
